Most crystals have healing powers but we have to be careful as some can be very toxic. This is important if we intend to make elixir from the water that we put them in. For this you need the services of a trained Ayurvedic practitioner.
In India in ancient times and even more recently. gemstones were use to treat various ailments of people and animals. The actual gemstones themselves are ground to a fine ash or powder. Used with flower extracts (Kewra) to form a paste (bhasma). They are then applied to the body and some are even taken orally. WARNING: never, ever, try this yourself. Sanskrit ( 400 B.c.) describe the Power of stones. In those days astrologers
advised people struck with misfortune to wear different kinds of stones to counteract
the negative effect of the planets.

It is very beneficial to carry or keep close a personal selection of two or three gemstones. You can do this unobtrusively if you wear them as a piece of Jewellery for instance. Or, you can just keep your healing stones in your purse or pocket. The effects will be increased if you choose the right ones to work together for you.

Crystals certainly are beautiful objects, for they were created by God. Portions of God's glorious heavenly city, the New Jerusalem, will be constructed from crystal.
It's in the Bible, Revelation 21:11 , & 18-20 NIV.
"It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. "
The 12 stones mentioned in Revelations actually are earlier mentioned in Isaiah as three types in the verses:
"O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not confirmed, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones."
The 12 stones mentioned in the Bible
are also said to be associated with the 12 apostles
The Jasper, which like the emerald is of a greenish hue, signifies St. Peter.
The Sapphire is likened to the Heavens (from this stone is made a color popularly called lazur) and signifies St. Paul.
The Chalcedony may well have been considered what we now call the carbuncle and represented St. Andrew.
The Emerald, which is of a green color, is nourished with oil, that its transparency and beauty may not change; this stone signifies St. John the Evangelist.
The Sardonyx, which shows a certain transparency and purity of the human nail, represents James.
The Sardius with its tawny and translucent coloring suggests fire and represents Philip.
The Chrysolite, gleaming with the splendor of gold, symbolizes Bartholomew.
The Beryl, imitating the colors of the sea and air, and not unlike the jacinth, suggests Thomas.
The Topaz, which is of a ruddy color, resembling somewhat the carbuncle, denotes Matthew.
The Chrysoprase, more brightly tinged with a gold hue than gold itself, symbolizes St. Thaddaeus.
The Jacinth, which is of a celestial hue, signifies Simon.
The Amethyst, which shows to the onlooker a fiery aspect, signifies Matthew.
These same 12 stones are also said to be the 12 stones mounted in the Breastplate of the High Priest of Israel, each representing a tribe of Israel

Ezek. 1:22 "The likeness of the firmament above the heads of the living creatures was like the color of an awesome crystal, stretched out over their heads."
In the Bible Heavens sea is like crystal. Rev. 4:6 "Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. "
Rev. 21:11 "having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal."
Rev. 22:1 "and he showed
me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne
of God and of the Lamb."
Many people regard crystals as possessing mystical power that can be utilized for healing purposes. Some believe that crystals can also stimulate spiritual growth and bring about a positive transformation in life's experience. The use of 'sacred stones' for mystical purposes was common among the pagan peoples of the Bible Lands. Called amulets, these magical charms were made in the form of small pendants attached to a necklace or bracelet. They were worn to protect a person from negative energies, evil and injury, and also to bring good luck
In occult history much is written of legendary civilizations with advanced sciences that used crystal power for many physical and practical purposes, as well as healing. The Pyramid in Egypt was supposedly once capped with a giant crystal on top to assist in the utilization of cosmic forces. It is taught that the legendary continent of Atlantis was destroyed was because sacred knowledge was abused and the power misused. Before Atlantis was destroyed, the wise uncorrupted ones had preserved the knowledge the higher race had achieved. They did not want to risk transcribing this knowledge into books and risk they're being lost by the earth's cataclysmic changes. So they programmed certain Record Keepers with the information and rematerialized them into the earth
The New Age belief is that they attract negative energy from the wearer or channel good energy to them. The healing stones are used to collect the negative energy that either they give off or someone gives to them. It absorbs this energy transferring it from the person and this negative energy then needs to be cleansed in salt water.
